WORKING AT BOSTON COMIC CON
Thanks for your interest in being part of the Boston Comic Con Crew!
For 2017, we are excited to be moving to a new model where our Crew is invited to apply for paid positions.
We have partnered with Advisor Communications to manage all the nitty gritty of payroll forms and HR documents. You are invited to submit your information here.
The good news is we’ll still be having the same fun at the show. You’ll be wearing our shirts, working with our Leads and Show Management, and sharing the fandom with more than 50,000 attendees.
What if I can only work one shift?
Please let Advisor Communications Staff know this when you complete your information form. Naturally the more shifts you do, the more on-the-job knowledge you gain, so we love it when you can work for more than one day. People who can work more than one day will be given priority.
What kind of perks can I expect?
As a paid Crew member, you are responsible for your own transportation, accommodation, parking, and food during the show. You’ll receive a Comic Con show shirt – please let us know your size when you apply. If you work more than two 8-hour shifts, you can attend the con when not on shift.
Can I work with my friend?
Make this request on the online information form, which is found below.
My financial situation doesn’t allow me to participate in paid employment. How can I get involved?
Please connect with Advisor Communications Staff to discuss your specific situation.
- Visit here to fill out the online information form.
- Advisor Communications Staff will be responsible for communicating with all Crew members. They’ll confirm they’ve received your info, and then you can expect to hear from them in approximately 3 weeks.
- There will be an onsite orientation that is mandatory to attend on Thursday August 10, likely in the afternoon. This orientation will be part of a paid shift.
